FIWARE is European Commission funded project. It seeks to provide a truly open, public and royalty-free architecture and a set of open specifications that will allow developers, service providers, enterprises and other organizations to develop products that satisfy their needs while still being open and innovative.
An integral part of the FIWARE PROJECT is the ACCELERATION PROGRAMME, which is aimed at teams who create innovative Internet applications with FIWARE technologies, and will provide them with a total of €80 million euros of direct funding, mentoring and networking to assist them in the creation of their FI-WARE start-ups.
Currently two FI-WARE ACCELERATION sub-projects, SOUL-FI and EUROPEANPIONEERS, have OPEN CALLS for applications.
