The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe will take place this year in Athens, June 12th and 13th under the auspices of the Greek EU presidency. WIRE2014 is being organized by the National Documentation Centre of Greece (EKT) and the European Commission in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research & Technology
The event will focus on:

- The technical frame of the EU funding for regional growth
- Business driving Regional Innovation
- A new mission for Territorial Cooperation: research & business on board
- Public Open Data for Regional Innovation
- Metrics & Tools for Monitoring Regional Strategies
- Knowledge re-use in RIS3 and Entrepreneurship
Who can participate?
WIRE2014 welcomes participants from a range of organizations, institutions, enterprises, regions, national authorities and the world of business. The discussion will engage regional stakeholders, policy makers from European institutions (European Commission, Committee of Regions, etc.), Managing Authorities of Structural Funds and Operational Programmes, regional partnerships/consortia of regions, development agencies, researchers, enterprises, business associations, clusters, etc.
