The AXA Foundation for Human Progress is pleased to announce the launch of the new AXA Chairs campaign. Starting this year, the program will specifically support transdisciplinary research, fostering collaboration across disciplines and with societal stakeholders to address complex contemporary challenges.

The AXA Chairs program aims to advance understanding of major risks facing people, societies, and the planet by bringing together different academic fields and societal actors. Proposals must be submitted under one of the following two categories:

1. Global Category, which supports international, transdisciplinary research networks addressing major risks and challenges related to risks to People Health and Human Well-Being, to Societies, and/or to the Planet.

2. Health in France Category, which exclusively supports research projects hosted by French academic institutions or public research organizations, focusing on risks to human health and well-being in France and in a broader international context.

Host Institutions may submit only one candidate per category and will have until April 9, 2026 (4 PM CEST) to submit their Expression of Interest.

Please note:

• If several Expressions of Interest are submitted from a single institution under the same category, all applications from that institution in that category will be disqualified.

• Submitting the same project under both categories will also result in disqualification.

To nominate the candidate you wish to put forward, please follow the steps below:

1. Register* or log in to our online portal: https://institution.axa-research.org/

2. Go to the “Application” section

3. Select “Chair” and fill in the Expression of Interest form

4. Submit your Expression of Interest before the deadline
