Like many government authorities, the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) has crucial requirements for processing sensitive data solely on premises. For that reason, the technical experts of BMI developed and operate various Generative AI solutions on our own infrastructure and integrated them into government processes. Furthermore, there is a need to scale and roll out these and similar on premise GenAI solutions to other bodies, like police units and other government organizations. The BMI is well represented in the Austrian AI policy forum, and well connected with other national and international government organizations. As such, we aim to leverage our expertise and network to support in the development and tailoring of GenAI solutions for public administrations, and facilitate the rollout of such solutions at other public bodies.
