Call for actions to prevent non-communicable diseases
27-02-2024

As part of the Healthier together – EU non-communicable diseases initiative, the subgroup on Prevention of the Expert Group on Public has suggested a range of prevention topics that could help Member States in the reduction of non-communicable disease burden. These include health promotion and addressing socioeconomic and commercial determinants of health, mental health, and prevention of NCDs.

EU-level health associations are invited to present ideas to reduce the NCD burden based on these topics, through tools, initiatives and actions that can be taken by the stakeholder community.

Suggested actions should include:

  • how they will support the prevention of non-communicable diseases in the EU,
  • how they will target specific challenges, and
  • how the specific organisation can help to put this idea in place.

The posters will be reviewed by DG SANTE, before a selection is shared at a stakeholder webinar on 20 March online. During the event, associations will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas with other stakeholders.

To put forward any actions, please follow the poster template and submit the poster by email to PublicHealthExpertGroup@intelleraconsulting.com by 6 March 2024.
