The Managing Authority of Interreg Greece-Italy Programme is launching the 4th Call for Operations of Strategic Importance SO1.3 – Growth and competitiveness of SMEs, with a budget of €5.000.000 million. The EU contribution is 75% and the project co-financing is 25% of the total eligible costs. Geographical coverage of the call extends to 6 regions from 2 EU countries, Greece and Italy.
The present Call concerns the Operation of Strategic Importance S.O. 1.3 “Enhancing growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs” as foreseen in the approved Programme.
In the context of the present Call, the potential Lead Beneficiary with the relevant partnership scheme of the proposed project, as approved to participate, are EXCLUSIVELY invited to submit a detailed Project Proposal (Application Form with all mandatory documents) via MIS.
The eligible beneficiaries are the following:

- PUGLIA REGION,
- REGION OF WESTERN GREECE,
- REGION OF EPIRUS,
- REGION OF IONIAN ISLANDS,
- ECONOMIC CHAMBER OF GREECE,
- CALABRIAN REGION,
- BASILICATA REGION,
- FONDAZIONE MATERA-BASILICATA 2019
The present Call intends to fund a high-quality cross-border project, in which relevant institutions cooperate to make border regions more resilient to common challenges, find shared solutions and to exploit the untapped growth potential in border areas, while enhancing the cooperation process for the purposes of the overall harmonious development of the Union.
The actions taken must seek to maximize territorial impact across the Programme area through synergies, capitalization, aligning with EUSAIR Macro Regional Strategy and with relevant Smart Specialization Strategies to upgrade regional competitiveness and modernization of SMEs for the smart transition of the Programme Area.
The project objectives and the proposed activities shall be clear and in-line with the Programme priorities, contribute to the achievement of Programme indicators and both shall have an impact on Greece-Italy area.

The date for the submission of the Application Form via MIS is:
- from 30/06/2025 (start date for submission of proposals), time 14:00 Greek local time (CET+1)
- until 05/09/2025 (deadline for submission of proposals), time 14:00 Greek local time (CET+1) at the latest.
