INCREDIBLE cross-cutting seminars to create sectorial partnerships and find innovative solutions
Cross-cutting seminars kick off in Albareto, Italy, a series of meetings seeking innovative solutions to realise the potential of non-wood forest product in the Mediterranean.
A total of three cross-cutting seminars are planned over the course of our project, with the aim of creating cross-sectorial partnerships and supporting NWFP actors and practitioners to find innovative solutions to develop NWFP markets in the Mediterranean. Subsequent seminars will be held later this year on “Innovative business and entrepreneurship for NWFPs” and “ITC tools for improved NWFP value chains and market intelligence”. Stay tuned!
Integrating NWFP in territorial marketing and Ecosystem Service value chains

The first INCREDIBLE cross-cutting seminar will address how to integrate NWFPs in territorial marketing, with a seminar and a field trip.
University of Ioannina organises this Science to Practice event about truffles cultivation. The Cultural Center of Peristera-Dourouti Monastery (University of Ioannina) will host the meeting.
Chestnut orchards: an opportunity for rural development

Wild harvest in time of new pests, deseases and climate change

The Sustainable Forest Management Research Institute (University of Valladolid) hosts an Interregional Workshop on pests particularly damaging to NWFP.
The INCREDIBLE project aims to show how Non-Wood Forest Products (NWFP) can play an important role in supporting sustainable forest management and rural development, by creating networks to share and exchange knowledge and expertise. ‘Innovation Networks of Cork, Resins and Edibles in the Mediterranean basin’ (INCREDIBLE) promotes cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation to highlight the value and potential of NWFPs in the region.
