My name is George Papadopoulos and I am the Director of the SEIT (Software Engineering and Internet Technologies) Lab, an integral part of the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. I contact you because of your interest and involvement in Erasmus+ and EACEA related activities and in the light of the fact that the 2019 Erasmus+ call for proposals is now out.
SEIT has extensive experience in the area of applying ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) to e-Learning, m-Learning and Open and Distance Learning in general, as well as Life Long Learning in particular. This expertise is both at technical level and at developing policies and qualification frameworks for such activities.
Regarding primarily Erasmus+ related themes, SEIT participated in the past in 13 LLP projects, 3 EUMEDIS projects, 2 FP (Framework Programs), 1 INCO-DC and 3 projects funded by national funds. It has also participated in the EMUNI project ENPI/2009/226-479 (http://enpi.emuni.si/home) and the VUSCC initiative (http://www.vussc.info/) by COL (http://www.col.org/), both related to policy making or reform and qualifications accreditation. We have also participated in the Interreg IVC project Innofun, on developing policies and techniques for entrepreneurship and innovation. Currently, we are coordinating 4 Erasmus+ projects on Strategic Partnerships from the 2016 and 2017 calls and we are partners in another 4 such projects.
More information about SEIT can be found on the lab's web site (http://www.cs.ucy.ac.cy/seit/) and the attached flyer.
The Laboratory is strongly interested in participating in proposals related to the above areas of expertise. In particular, regarding the 2019 call, we are interested in Key Action 2 Knowledge Alliances and Sector Skills Alliances, and European Univerities, as well as in Key Action 3 Support for Policy Reforms.
Consequently, if you plan to submit a proposal for the 2019 calls of Erasmus+ addressing any of the above areas, I would be very interested in cooperating with you in the preparation of the proposal and contributing to it as a partner.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind Regards George A. Papadopoulos Professor of Computer Science SEIT Lab Director
