Το Κέντρο Δοκιμών Ερευνών & Προτύπων (ΚΔΕΠ) της ΔΕΗ θα ήθελε να επεκτείνει τον κύκλο των ερευνητικών συνεργασιών σε θέματα που αφορούν την επιχείρηση. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό ξεκινάμε μια προσπάθεια ενημέρωσης της ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητας της χώρας και κρίναμε σκόπιμο ως η μεγαλύτερη εγχώρια βιομηχανία να αποστείλουμε αυτό το email εκδήλωσης ενδιαφέροντος για επιστημονική συνεργασία σε θέματα αμοιβαίου ενδιαφέροντος στο Πανεπιστήμιo Ιωαννίνων. Ελπίζουμε πως η ΔΕΗ θα συνεχίζει να συνεισφέρει θετικά στην χώρα και στον τομέα της επιστημονικής έρευνας, της ανάπτυξης και της καινοτομίας. Το email αυτό απευθύνεται στον προϊστάμενο της γραμματείας της επιτροπής ερευνών που είδαμε από την ιστοσελίδα του πανεπιστημίου. Παρακαλούμε να το προωθήσετε στα διάφορα τμήματα/σχολές και  μέλη ΔΕΠ του Πανεπιστημίου που ίσως το βρουν ενδιαφέρον. Παρακάτω ακολουθεί μια σύντομη περιγραφή (στα Αγγλικά) του ΚΔΕΠ καθώς και οι επιστημονικοί τομείς που ενδιαφέρουν  το ΚΔΕΠ και την ΔΕΗ.

The Testing Research and Standards Centre (TRSC) is a Department of the Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC) of Greece. TRSC houses the central laboratories and research centre of  PPC. The main laboratories  of TRSC include the concrete lab, soil mechanics lab, high power lab, high voltage and dielectric testing lab, electrical tests and measurements lab, metrology lab, analytic chemistry lab, fuels lubricants lab, laboratory of environmental chemistry and special materials, metallography lab, applied physics lab, Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) tests lab, the laboratory of mechanical testing, temperature raise lab etc (for more details see the official TRSC web-page)

The Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC) of Greece was established in 1950 and is the largest electric power producer and supplier in Greece. PPC owns and operates lignite mines and has an installed power capacity  of 12,500 MW throughout Greece (including steam electric plants using lignite, natural gas and diesel as fuel, hydroelectric power plants, wind parks, photovoltaic parks and other clean energy production methods like biomass, geothermal energy etc), with almost 11,000 employees, 7.5 million connections (which correspond to more than 10 million customers) and an annual turnover of almost 6 billion E (see the detailed report below)

TRSC / PPC is interested in participating in research projects (both as leader and/or as partner) related to the production of electric energy in the broad sense, anti-pollution and clean environment technologies, energy management,  mining, Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) development, advanced material technology, risk finance-management. TRSC wants to focus on research projects which require the participation of its testing laboratories as well (yet this is by no means restrictive or necessary). TRSC is also interested in participating in projects like the Connecting Europe Facility (Energy sector) and other research projects related to the activities of its labs.
